lyrics

It was a pleasure to know you, pepperbox,
Didn't know the meaning of the distant stare,
Sitting there beside you breathing in your recycled air,
I didn't mind the quiet, then.
We didn't get to talk as often as I wish we did,
I loved the color of the music you made,
and I didn't get to see you as much either,
I didn't get to see you,
I thought I'd get the chance to make up for the lost time.

Did he wish that he could be there for pepperbox,
if I saved a friend then I would feel less sad,
I wish I had the chance to tell him that I love him and I miss him
A chance that I will never know,
what if there is nothing in the sky when we die,
Will I never get to see him again?
I just wish I had the chance to tell him that I love him and I miss him,
A wish that I will never know.

I wonder what it felt like to pull out pepperbox
I know he didn't like guns,
Was he afraid of something that would never ever happen,
The same that I was?
When he wrapped himself up in his favorite blanket,
I hope he felt so safe,
But I think he was scared and he felt so alone.
I cant help but think it was my fault.
